About Me
The Beginning...
Born and raised in Tallahassee, Florida, I was exposed to the real estate world from the beginning. Following in the footsteps of my Mother, I have learned the ins and outs of the business from one of the very best. With a similar passion for real estate as my own, she has worked her way up for over twenty years through the ranks of the industry, from a State commercial property acquisitionist to forming her own residential and commercial brokerage, Early Properties, LLC. I could not ask for a better introduction into the real estate profession, and through this channel my real estate passion was born.
Education and Experience...
Fortunately I was able to take these real estate interests to a new level as I began my college career. Attending the Florida State University, I worked through a strong curriculum of Business Administration and Management coursework, and eventually landed in the Real Estate department. After completing a stringent and focused selection of in-depth real estate classes, I graduated in 2005 with a rare Bachelor of Science Degree in Real Estate!
Moving to Charleston in late 2005, I immediately fell in love with the people, food, fun and general atmosphere of this great town. I soon met and began work with Derek Bergeson, a top producer of the Sandlapper Real Estate Group, and continued on in a team partnership environment until mid 2007. Though this partnership offered significant benefits and lessons not taught in the classroom, I eventually “outgrew” the concept and opted to venture out to start afresh and begin my career with Century 21.
Century 21 Properties Plus, Inc. has been my home ever since, and I am extremely fortunate for the opportunity afforded with this great Brokerage. I earned my Brokers License in October 2007, and continue to educate myself daily with the knowledge that only experience can bring. Real Estate has proven to involve my career, hobbies, and passions, and I have much to look forward to as I continue on this journey.
And Finally, The Lighter Side…
Through my college career and to this day, I have enjoyed membership in the prominent Kappa Alpha Order, which built on my steadfast upbringing and aided in instilling some of the very characteristics and qualities which have helped shape my career. I owe a great amount of gratitude for the lifelong friends, experiences, and values the Kappa Alpha Order has helped create, and strive to exemplify the standards for which this organization stands.
By my side every step of the way, my wonderful Fiancé, Jenny Schoonover, has proven to be the key attribute to my success. We have both lived in Mount Pleasant for the past two years, and bought our first home shortly after moving to the area. We will be married on May 31, 2008, here in the great city of Charleston!
Three full grown Labradors grace our presence and make sure our home life is never dull. As I’m sure you can guess, time for much else is seldom, but every now and then you can find me enjoying other hobbies and passions such as hands-on home renovations, fishing, boating, rooting for my alma mater (go Seminoles!), and just generally enjoying the beautiful weather and surroundings of the Lowcountry.
